See? I always said he was a douchebag.
Comments, Anyone?

I've been following some of your posts on this interesting little site called suckahs.org. I'm just interested sir--What is the requisite amount of time that Michael Moore should have kept up his letter in order to be "honest" with his fans? I guess I'm more inclined to think that it probably wasn't Michael Moore up in the middle of the night in his long johns trying to hide evidence of his incorrect predictions. Rather, I would proffer that the individual who took down the letter was probably some low level hack in charge of updating the web page. Given the fact that the "letter" was posted in an effort to get out the vote--might it have been appropriate to update the website on the morning of November 6th? Even if Michael Moore had taken down his "prediction" letter the day after Thanksgiving--there would still be people out there calling him a hypocrite, wouldn't there? I might gander to suggest that this is hardly evidence of "douche-bag-ness." Great website here though.

Oh, I dunno, but I would say it'd be somewhat longer than a few hours. He seems to keep a lot of stuff up there longer than that; just looking at the front page right now, I see a "Mike's Message" dated October 30th, in which he said Charlton Heston is on his way to Tucson for a gun show, soon after that university shooting. That's already happened, too, and it was also meant to spur action. Why not take that down, too? Simple: It makes him look good. The election letter did not. And as for having someone else update his website, you may be right. Of course, none of us knows. But I suspect you're wrong: He was writer, director and producer on three of his films, writer and director of another, and he's in nearly every shot of all of 'em except Canadian Bacon. I would proffer that that's someone who enjoys his image and enjoys being in control.
No, maybe that in and of itself doesn't qualify him for douchebag status, but his laziness with the truth certainly does. (This article does a good job showing some of the factual inaccuracies in his last book, Stupid White Men.) Face it: Michael Moore is the Rush Limbaugh of the left, and that kills me. He has some important things to say, and the vast majority of causes he supports are causes that I support, too. But he does no one any service undermining those issues with sloppiness, and his haughty aggressiveness (see how smart you look when someone shows up at your door with a camera guy and a sound crew) is as likely to turn people off than on. Do you listen to Rush? Me neither.
I know, I know, no one's perfect. Tough titty(!) when you hold yourself up as the paragon of truth and light.
